August 4, 1986. Revision 10 of the Callaway Plant Security Plan contained changes addressed under 10 CFR 50.54(p), as well as changes required as a result of the rulemaking process. The information contained herein-
- addresses only those issues addressed by the Miscellaneous Amendnents Package and'is provided to assist NBC personnel in the review process.

Security Plan designates the alarm stations and secondary power supplies j
as being located within vital areas in accordance with the requirements.
Figure 5.1-4 and 5.3-5 verify the alarm stations are not visible from the Protected Area perimeter. Section 6.1.1 verifies that the alann station is bullet resisting.

PIAN CHANGE.
Specifics of search requirements are addressed in Section 1.6.1.2, Callaway Plant Security Plan. The only actual change is the delet. ion of the pat-down search for visitors. All other elements j
of the rule were in.the Security Plan prior to the issuance of the Miscell-aneous Rulmaking Package.
It should be noted that only iten 8 and 9 required changes to the existing plan. All others were addressed adequately by the Callaway Plant Security Plan prior to the issuance of the Miscellaneous Amendments j
package. Item 8, as it relates to vitalization of additional areas, will be in place by September 1, 1987, and access control will be effected at that time. The areas will actually be classified as vital upon notifica-j tion of the approval of plan revision.
Implementation of itan 9, as it pertains to the elimination of pat-down searches on visitors, will be implemented imnediately upon notification of approval of this subnittal.
