PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 106 (REV 2)
LIVING SCHEDULE PLAN FOR RANCHO SECO NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION
Dear Mr. Miraglia:
After discussions with the NRC Rancho Seco Project Manager, Mr.
Syd Miner, the District requests that the NRC delay processing Proposed Amendment #106 Rev.
2.
The District is requesting this delay until after the current extended outage.
At that time, the District intends to revisit the Living Schedule Plan and Program as well as the schedule of planned work at the facility.
The District still enthusiastically supports the "Living Schedule" concept.
However, the District wishes to point out that the current Rancho Seco organizational structure differs substantially from what is identified in the Living Schedule Plan and Program.
The organizational restructuring that has taken place will allow for a more efficient focus on our Restart activities and, at the same time, will facilitate the ultimate transition to a totally District managed organization.
In addition, the District is implementing, during i
the current outage, a significant number of modifications
(
originally scheduled for Cycle 8 refueling, all of which are causing added priority demands on our staff resources.
Thus, at I'
the appropriate time after restart, the District will arrange a meeting with the NRC staff to present a new Living Schedule Plan and Program and put the Rancho Seco Living Schedule "back on track."
