Sinkule of the USNRC Region II of a potentially reportable condition concerning the failure of governor valves on the Unit 1 turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater pumps to properly regulate steam flow.
This condition was initially identified during preoperational testing and documented in Operations Deficiency Reports (0DR) T-1-86-2725 and T-1-86-2785.
Georgia Power Company is currently evaluating this condition for reportability and expects to inform the USNRC of the evaluation results by December 16, 1986.
The Unit 1 governor valves have already been corrected.
