NPDES Noncompliance Reports for the Fort Calhoun Power Station
Dear Mr. Ringenberg:
Please find attached two NPDES Noncompliance Reports for the Fort Calhoun Power Station's water treatment plant from samples taken on September 17 and 18, 1986.
These total suspended solids violations were the result of a temporary bypass of the 6" discharge line from the water plant to the chemical equalization decantation and holding basins. This bypass was necessary due to building construction in the area of the discharge line. The bypass ended at approximately 4:30 p.m. on September 18, 1986, with no other TSS violations since that time.
Mr. Joe Harris of the DEC was given verbal notification of the noncom-pliances on September 17 and 18, 1986, respectively.
If you have any questions or comments on these noncompliance reports, please contact Tim Grove (536-4659) or me (536-4504).
Sincerely, K. .
