This letter confirms the discussion between Mr. R. D. Mothena of the
' Georgia Power. Company corporate emergency preparedness section and Mr.
A. L. Cunningham of the NRC Region II. staff concerning removal of the emergency response facility (ERF) appraisal from the agenda of the 1987 Vogtle annual emergency preparedness exercise activities.
It. is our understanding that the previously scheduled ERF appraisal will not be conducted as a part of the exercise.
Consequently, the NRC critique and exit meeting, originally scheduled for July 30-31, will be held on July 29, 1987 (time to be announced).
Please contact this office if you need any additional clarification or information regarding the Vogtle exercise.
