Nuclear Export Control Fact Book" Pursuant to the Economy Act of 1932, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory- l Commission (NRC) and the U.S. Customs Services desire to enter into an .]

agreement whereby the NRC will provide funds to support the U.S. Customs .!

' Service's Contract:No. TC-85-54, Modification No. 1, with the BDM ]

Corporation. This agreement is a. cost sharing effort, jointly funded by l several federal agencies, j 1

ARTICLE.I - Background /0bjective The NRC is participating in the joint program with the U.S. Customs Service and.the Departments of Commerce and Energy to publish a' sensitive nuclear export. control fact book which discusses in detail NRC-licensed

commodities'and~those commerce-licensed items controlled for' nuclear non-proliferation reasons. .The objective is to design'a fact book that can be used by personnel without a scientific or engineering background whose duties involve administering or enforcing nuclear export regulations. The fact book.will be a valuable tool in assisting NRC licensing personnel in their review of NRC and Commerce export license applications.

.-ARTICLE III - Deliverables

'The U.S. Customs Service, throughLits contract with the BDM Corporation,- i will provide the NRC with copies of all deliverables due under this i modification to Contract TC-85-54 (see Attachment 1, Statement of Work).

ARTICLE IV - Period of Agreement The period of'the agreement will be from date of acceptance by the U.S. I Customs Service through September 30,~1987.

. ARTICLE V - Technical Direction'

services / deliverable items required under this agreement are delivered in accordance herewith. All technical instructions to the U.S. Custons

ARTICLE VI - Funding 1 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission obligates $42,000.to support this  !

cost-sharing effort. U.S. Customs Service's voucher should reference the l following accounting data: B&R No. 80-19-04; FIN No. D1436; Appropriation No. 31X200.807.
