The high effluent. concentrations are due to the large number of temporary personnel onsite for the outage. This condition should improve during June as the onsite work force His reduced as outage related jobs are completed.

The plant Circulating Water System was drained'to'the Recreation Lake intermittently from 1005. hours on May 25 to 11tO Eaers'on 14ay 27. All required samples were-taken and were within permit 1 imitations.

The main plant pH monitor was declared out of service at 0425 hours0.00492 days
0.118 hours
7.027116e-4 weeks
1.617125e-4 months
on April 4, to 2300 hours0.0266 days
0.639 hours
0.0038 weeks
8.7515e-4 months
on May 11. The plant was operating on one service water train during this peri'od and the i sample pump for the pH monitor would lose prime due to the low' l l

service water ficw rate.

The main plant outfall chlorine monitor.was out of: service from 2030 hours0.0235 days
0.564 hours
0.00336 weeks
7.72415e-4 months
on May 8 to 1100 hours0.0127 days
0.306 hours
0.00182 weeks
4.1855e-4 months
on May 11 to repair ~an electrical short circuit which caused-the meter'to peg high.

The main plant outfall BTU monitor was out of service from-1302 hours on April 25 to 2300 hours0.0266 days
0.639 hours
0.0038 weeks
8.7515e-4 months
on May 11 to correct:a. problem in which the instrument failed and would not register. The monitor was again taken out of service at 2300 hours0.0266 days
0.639 hours
0.0038 weeks
8.7515e-4 months
on May 11 as'it was operating erratically. During attempts to repair the monitor, Instrument and Control personnel identified a'possible' design problem. Plant Engineering has been requested to evaluate this problem. No estimate of a return to service'date is available at this time.

During periods of outage all required backup samples were taken to ensure permit compliance.
