20555 Re: SNM 330 Gentlemen:

One of our professors wishes to pursue some work with a small quantity of Uranium-238 enriched to 5% in Uranium-235. He has found a source for the material from colleagues at Argonne National Laboratory, but our license does not cover the possession of this material.

I would like to request that our SNM-330 license be amended to allow possession for up to 10 grams of 238-U enriched to 5% with 235-U. The chemical form of this material w6iifdle of alolid.

Yours truly,

YNl, David R. Miller, Director Radiation Safety Dept.
