Dear Mr. Keppler:
Pursuant to 10CFR50 Appendix E Part V, the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company hereby submits three (3) controlled copies of Revision 6 of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant (PNPP) Emergency Plan (Volume 15 Part A of the PNPP Operations Manual). This revision incorporates improvements in the emergency preparedness program including items identified in our annual 10CFR50.54(t) audit and recent NRC inspections and other changes. This revision does not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan, as described in 10CFR50.54(q).
The enclosed pages and binders replace in their entirety the previous revision of the Emergency Plan. Please replace all copies of the previous revision as indicated on the attached document transmittal form and return the signed form to acknowledge receipt.
