Dear Mr. Muller:
By Confirmatory Order Issued March 20, 1986, from D. R. Muller, USNRC to E. G. Bauer, Jr., Philadelphia Electric Cmpany, restart of Peach Bottom Unit No. 3 was authorized. The order contained a requirement for the submittal of plans for inspection and/or modification of the recirculation and other reactor coolant pressure boundary piping systems during the next refueling outage. Our decision to perform pipe replacement during the upcoming Unit 3 refueling outage was confirmed by our letter from J. W. Gallagher to D. R. Muller, USNRC dated December 22, 1986.
In accordance with the order you will find enclosed " Description of Plans for Recirculation and Residual Heat Removal Systems Piping Replacement at Peach Bottom Unit 3" dated April 28, 1987. This work will be performed during the outage scheduled to begin in mid-September 1987.
