Dear Mr. Denton:
The purpose of this letter is to correct information that was provided in the referenced letters.
Two of Braidwood's Shift Engineers have been found to be lacking certain portions of the 6 month Hot Participation Program.
Previously, we had reported that these personnel had completed their 6 month program.
It is true that they actually completed 6 months of on-shift observation at Zion Station, the fact that not all of their required practical factors had been completed during the program was overlooked.
The practical factors that are lacking are as follows:
l Paul Smith---------------Cold Shutdown to Hot Shutdown Rick Schorie-------------Cold Shutdown to Hot Shutdown Eot Shutdown to Hot Standby Subcritical to Critical Critical to 2% Power Our current plans are to send Messrs. Smith and Schorie to Catawba Unit 1 to observe the upcoming plant heatup and startup which is expected to start October 1, 1986.
When this activity is completed, we shall notify your office.
