Pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2, this letter forwards the Inservice Inspection (ISI) report on ASME Class 1

and 2

components and piping examined between March, 1985 and August, 1986 at Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Unit #1 for your review.

These examinations were part of Interval 1, Period 3 of the BVPS Unit #1 ISI inspection schedule.

The inservice inspections were performed in accordance with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel

Code, 1974 edition through summer 1975 addenda, the BVPS Unit #1 Technical Specifications and the BVPS Unit #1 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR).

Subarticle IWA-6220, Reports for Class 1 and Class 2 components of the Section XI ASME Code requires that an inservice inspection report be submitted to the enforcement and regulatory authority having jurisdiction at the plant site within ninety (90) days after completion of an inservice inspection.

The latest inservice inspections at BVPS Unit

  1. 1 were completed on August 23, 1986.

Submittal of the attached report fulfills the IWA-6220,Section XI reporting requirements.
