Dear Sir:

On June 2, 1987, a telephone conversation was held between members of Boston Edison Company management and NRC Region I management.

The purpose was to clarify the Notice of Violation and discuss the results of our investigation

'i of the inspector's concerns.

It was agreed that the response to the Notice of Violation would be submitted by June 11, 1987.

This one week extension will provide sufficient time to incorporate additional information discussed in the telephone conversation.
