Dear Mr. Collins:

'Ihis refers to Con Edison's response to Inspection 50-247/86-23 conducted by Mr. Lawrence W. Rossbach and Mr. Peter W.

Kelley of your office.

In that response we stated that the Station Administrative Order (SAO) govern-l

.ing reporting requirements were being reviewed and rewritten to reduce the possibility of misreading a reporting requirement. This effort was expect-ed to be cmpleted by November 1986.

We have made the above required changes to the procedure (SAO-124) which is being issued in Novenber 1986.

l However to provide adequate training for the inplementation of the proce-dure it will beccme effective during Decernber 1986.

Should you or your staff have any questions, please contact us.

i Very truly yours, k

I l
