Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR Section 2.201, Georgia Power Company is providing the enclosed response to the Notice of Violdtion associated with inspections conducted at Plant Hatch during the periods February 24-28, 1986-and March 18-19, 1986.

NRC Inspection Report No.

86 (transmitted by letter of May 28, 1986) identified circumstances surrounding failure to perform a functional test.

Enclosed is a transcription of the Notice' of Violation II.B and Georgia Power Company's response.

The enclosures contain safeguards information and should be withheld-from public disclosure in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790(d) and 10 CFR 73.21.
