S. fluclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 Liconao R-95 Docket 50-193 Gentlemon It in requestod that the tuchnical apocifications for the Rhodo Inland Nuclear Science Contor reactor operating licenso be amended by replacing the existing pagon 1 and 2 with the enclocod replacement pagon 1 and 2. This amendment is required for throo reasons.

1. Since the inouance of the original technical apacifications, changen havo occurred in the donignations of the 27-acro aton. For examplo, the designation "tlarragansett Roncarch Conter" 1o no longer unod while the designation "flarragannott Day Campun of the University of Rhodo Inland" in commonly unod. In addition, now construction han occurred on the 27 acron and additionn havo boon mado to the reactor building and offico laboratory wing (reported to NRC in annual reporto).
2. The oxinting pago 1 of the technical Specifications han prononted problemn to recont NRC Rogion 1 innpoctorn who did not undoratand how the posting of connpicuous signa could provent unauthorized entry to the rentricted area. In fact the rostricted area is the reactor building with adjoining offico laboratory wing.
