Dear Mr. Themelis:
Enclosed are the four signature pages which signify NRC concurrence with Modification No. 3A to the Shiprock Remedia,1 Action Plan (PAP). This modificatien addresses changes related to radon barrier thickness and seismic stability of'the embankment. As connunicated to you by our August 8,1986 letter, the NRC has concluded that these changes to the RAP comply with
-the EPA standards. Therefore, this concurrence action closes the RAP conditional concurrence issues on radon barrier design and seismotectonic characterization.
Please note that, until further notice, I have been delegated the signature authority for all correspondence related to the UMTRA program.
