MEMORANDUM AND ORDER On May 28, 1986, the Comission received a letter dated May 15, 1986 from Governor Mario M. Cuomo requesting the termination of this proceeding.
The Commission's Secretary served the letter on the other parties on June 2, 1986, informing the Governor that the Comission would have no substantive response until the parties had an opportunity to respond. Subsequently, t
applicant Long Island Lighting Company submitted an opposition. We deny the request.
The Governor's request is based on the proposition that no adequate energency plan can be developed for the Shoreham plant. That proposition is currently being litigated in this adjudicatory licensing proceeding. We 8609290258 860926 PDR ADOCK 05000322 G
