NPF-4 NPF-7 Gentlemen:
VIRCINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANCES Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, the Virginia Electric and Power Company requests amendments, in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications, to Operating Licenses No. NPF-4 and NPF-7 for North Anna Powe Station Units I and 2, respectively.
We are requesting several adninistrative changes to the Technical Specifications associated with primary coolant specific activity limits. The changer are necessary in order to conform with the recommendations of NRC Ceneric Letter 85-19
" Reporting Requirements on Primary Coolant Iodine Activity." The proposed Technical Specifications changes for North Anna 1 and 2 are provided in Attachments 1 and 2, respectively. A safety evaluation of the proposed changes is provided in Attachment 3.
This request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the Safety Evaluation and Control Staff.
It has been determined that the proposed changes do not involve an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10 CFR 50.59 or a significant hazards consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50.92.
We have evaluated this request in accordance with the criteria in 10 CFR 170.12. A check in the amount of $150 is enclosed as an application fee.
