Inquiry No. 87-01 This refers to a telephone inquiry by Mr. Steven Courtemanche of this office with yourself on April 24, 1987. This inquiry concerned activities authorized by License No. SNM-1918, as they relate to the pending need for renewal of your license.
From this discussion, it is our understanding that you plan to terminate your license by submitting the enclosed Certificate of Disposition of Materials with a letter requesting termination to this office because you now possess less than 200 grams of uranium, the possession limit specified in New York State License No. 436.
If our understandings are incorrect, please inform us in writing.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Ctde of Federal Reg'ilations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have any questions concerning this inquiry, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
