The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 13 to Facility Operating License No. R-4 for the Battelle Research Reactor located at Columbus, Ohio.
The amendment consists of changes in the Technical Specifications that will delete the operability and surveillance requirements for equipment no longer needed and subsequently removed following decommissioning.
In addition, changes have been made in the facility description and the reporting requirement sections of the Technical Specifications. These changes were made in accordance with your application for license amendment dated March 4, 1976.
Please note that we have discontinued the use of separate identifying numbers for changes to technical specifications. Sequential amendment numbers will be continued as in the past.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
