SUBJECT:
TRANSFER OF DOCKET FILES By letter dated July 1, 1986 (enclosure 1), the Consumers Power Company, Midland Plant Units 1 and 2, withdrew their amendment application dated June 22, 1982, to receive unirradiated nuclear fuel assemblies.
Materials License Nos. SNM-1904 and SNM-1905, which were issued on September 1, 1982, authorized possession and use of enriched uranium in fission chambers.
Because neither Unit will be completed as a nuclear station, we have notified the licensee by letter dated July 10, 1986 (enclosure 2), that the fission chambers should be disposed of and the licenses terminated in accordance with 10CFR70.38(b).
Accordingly, we are transferring the " official docket file" and our working file to Region III for termination of Materials License Nos. SNM.1904 and SNM-1905. We have notified the licensee by letter dated September 3, 1986 (enclosure 3), that all future correspondence should be addressed to your office.
