Dear Mr. Bichler:
This is in response to your letter of May 21, 1986, requesting quarterly information meetings such as the NRC meeting held in Las Vegas in April and requesting receipt of routine NRC information and meeting notices.
With the May 28, 1986 announcement by the Department of Energy that all site-specific work for a second high-level waste (HLW) repository has been postponed indefinitely, cur division will no longer be routinely mailing HLW documents to states and Indian tribes associated with the second repository program. For your information, below are other ways to keep abreast of NRC's activities in the HLW program.

NRC's toll free telephone announcement of upcoming meetings in the HLW program is 1/800/368-5642, Ext. 79002, or 427-9002 for Washington area callers.

HLW documentation processed by this office is routinely sent to NRC's Public Document Room (PDR) in Washington, DC. Enclosed is a brochure describing the services of NRC's PDR. NRC also provides various subscription services for published reports, accession listings, and other documents. You may wish to contact the Government Printing Office at the following address for further information:
