Dear Mr. Themelis:
We have reviewed additional data provided in your June 4,1986, letter to me pertinent to the gradation of riprap materials to be used at the Shiprock site.
These additional gradation test results were submitted in response to our review of information previously provided concerning the failure of rock to meet a specification for the ratio of particle thickness to particle length.
Based on our review of the additional gradations provided, we conclude that the riprap meets the requirements for either Type B or B1 rock, since the testing indicates that the average weight of the riprap is greater than required for both types.
