Dear Administrative Judges:
In response to your request that the Staff make witnesses available on the issue whether the Shoreham February 13, 1986 Exercise was a " full-participation exercise," raised by Contentions EX 15/16, (See T*.
5883 et seq.), the Staff will present Sheldon A. Schwartz and Bernard H. Weiss.
Ts you are aware, these gentlemen were previously deposed in this proceed-j ing, on January 14, 1987.
Their positions with the NRC and responsibilities i
with respect to emergency planning were the subject of questioning there.
The Staff plans to serve brief prefiled testimony by. Messrs. Schwartz and Weiss on June 5,1987.
We wguld request that they be designated to be cross-examined on Thursday, June 11, 1987.
