Dear Mr. Denton:
Enclosed is the technical report summary of the Braidwood Unit 1 preoperational reactor containment building integrated leakage rate test as provided in Attachment 1.
This is being submitted pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR 50, Appendix J,Section V.
The enclosed report describes the initial type A containment leakage rate test conducted in accordance with the requirements of Appendix J except as noted in references (a) and (b).
This test was witnessed by Mr. F. Maura, NRC Region III.
The results of this test have been reviewed in accordance with Commonwealth Edison Company procedures and have been accepted by our Project Engineering Department.
The maximum allowable test leakage rate, LT, can be calculated from Attachment 1 to be approximately 0.0707.
This number should be inserted in the Braidwood Proof and Review Tech Spec, Section 3.6.1.2 (Containment Leakage) page 3/4 6-2.
