Dear Sir:

We have problems in our area with the evacuation plan for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.

The sirens that are to warn people of a ranclear evacuation cannot be heard in our homes. When we questioned our County Commissioners, the CEI Co., and the Disaster Agency, we were told that this is the way the sirens are supposed to be and we could hear them if we were outdoors.

Wat will happen if the sirens are to be heard at night? Wat will happen to people who are always indoors? What will happen to the hearing handicapped who seldom have a radio or television turned on?

When these questions were discussed with Russ Marabito at the Davis-Besse sludge hearings on August 6, he suggested that we write to you concerning this problem.

Sincerely yours, D
