Segment 3 Fuel Element Inspection Program

Dear Mr. Calvo:
This letter documents the conclusion of Fort St. Vrain Segment 3 fuel element photography and photograph examination as outlined in Reference 1.
Segment 3 spent fuel sF' -ing was completed in 1986 and the remaining fuel elements were successfully examined. There was no indication of fuel element cracking in any of the remaining Segment 3 fuel elements.
These results, coupled with the Segment 3 fuel elements analyzed earlier, document a complete examination of all photographs of Segment 3 fuel elements in which no cracking was observed.
