Mr. Chairman, I would ask the Commission to vote to hold this 7
matter on less than one week's notice.

The item is SECY 86-337.
It's a request 10 for a hearing by the Advanced Medical Systems, 11 Incorporated. In this paper the Commission is being asked to 12 act on a request from Advanced Medical Systems, Incorporated 13 for a hearing on violations alleged in an October 10, 1986 14 order issued by the director of Inspection and Enforcement.
15 All Commiesioners have approved an order which 16 grants a hearing to be held before an administrative law judge 17 to be appointed by the chief administrative judge of the 18 ASLBP.
The order authorizes also the Atomic Safety and 19 Licensing Appeal Board to exercise the authority and perform 20 the review functions that would otherwise be performed by the 21 Commission.
