50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE 87-29 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the technical specifications of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant unite 1 and 2.
The proposed change revises table 3.8-2 to delete references to motor-operated valves (MOVs) with bypassed thermal overload (TOL) devices and MOVs which are no longer considered active because of 10 CFR 50 Appendix R configurations or because their movement is not required for safety.
In addition, the change also adds several active MOVs to the table which had been previously omitted. A typographical error in thq unit 1 table is also corrected.
The proposed technical specification change is identified in enclosure 1.
The justification for the proposed technical specification change is provided in enclosure 2.
A proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in enclosure 3.
Reference information on the Motor-Operated Valve Analysis and Test System (MOVATS) is provided in enclosure 4.
