The criteria present=J by the applicant are equivalent to the limits of Subsections NB-3655 and NB-3656 of the AS'U. Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section III (1971). In presenting this criterin, the applicant han fulfilled the outotanding requirement in the Safety Evalustion of the Itanford No. 2 Nuclear Power Plant, Paragraph 4.3, page 45, dated 9/22/72 by adequately defining the stress and pressure limits appropriate for energency snd faulted condition categories for inactive pumps and valves within the reactor coolant pressure boundary.
