Dear Mr. Felton,

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 522, as amended, the Campaign for a Prosperous Georgia requests the following documents regarding NRC Inspection Report Nos.

50-424/85- 04 and 50-425/85-04. Please consider " documents" to include reports, studies, test results, correspondence, memoranda, meeting notes, meeting minutes, working papers, graphs, charts, diagrams, notes and summaries of conversations and interviews, computer records, and any other forms of written communication, including internal NRC staff memoranda.

Pursuant tb this request, please provide all documents prepared or utilized by, in the possession of, or routed through the NRC including and related to:

1. The honeycomb void defect in the exterior shell wall of the Unit 1 containment building as identified in Georgia Power's Deviation Report number CD--07117 and NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-424/85-04 and 50-425/85-04 at p. 2.

2. The allegation of an improperly prepared vertical construction joint in the radwaste building made in pour number A-652-004 on July 22nd, 1984 as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-424/85-04 and 50-425/85-04 at pp.

2 and 3. In particular, CPG requests copies of any documents relating to the concerns of the quality control inspector who expressed dissatisfaction with the results of management's review of the preparation of the joint.

3. The allegation of an improperly prepared horizontal construction joint at the top of the walls tying in with the overlying floor slab made in concrete pour number A 652-002 on September 9, 1984 as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-424/85-04 and 50-425/85-04 at pp. 3 and 4. 4 particular, CPG requests copies of all documents relating to the concerns of the quality control inspector who expressed ,

dissatisfaction with preparation of the joint and management's review of the same.

4. The damage to and repair of the concrete on circulating water pipes running from the cooling towers to the turbine condensers by use of large chipping hammers as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-424/85-94 and 59-425/85-94 at p.4.

5. Concrete pour prior to removal of all trash in areas around the reactor where neutron detectors are located, in the embed area of the reactor where number 18 rebar came out of the reactor cavity and tied onto the shield wall and in blockouts for the placement of equipment such as HVAC units in Level 3 of the control building as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 59-424/85-94 and 50-425/85-64 at pp.5 and 6.

6. Possible voids in the containment shield wall as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 59-424/85-94 and 59-425/85-94 at pp.6 and 7.

I 7. The removal of ether foam between the control building and the fuel handling building as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 59-424/85-94 and 50-425/85-94 at pp.7 and 8.

In particular, CPG requests copies of all documents regarding the allegation that the foam had been set afire in an attempt to remove it.

8. The May 1983 fire adjacent to the north face of the contain-ment building near the penetration area identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 59-424/85-94 and 50-425/85-94 at p.8.

In particular, CPG requests copies of all documents regarding concrete damage resulting from the fire.

9. Leakage from two pipes due to water entering the temporary backfill underlying the electrical tunnel between the control building and the turbine building, as identified in NRC Inspection Report Nos. 59-424/85-94 and 50-425/85-94

In particular, CPG requests copies of all documents regarding sinking backfill at the site and Applicant's proposed timetable for and method of removing and replacing the fill and sealing the tunnel. CPG also requests copies of all documents regarding the rumored underground spring at the plant site.
