My letter of December 24, 1986, concerning allegations made by Mr. Sam Milam III, stated that a copy of the final inspection report would be forwarded when it was issued.

Enclosed is a copy of the report which is currently being reviewed by General Electric for proprietary infoimation pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790.

This review is expected to be completed within the next few which are determined to be proprietary.

The report has not been weeks, and I will inform you of any portion (s) of the report made available to the public pending completion of this review.

Untii this proprietary review is complete I request that you provide appropriate protection for this report.

Dear Mr. Chairman:

I wrote to the Subcommittee on December 24, 1986 and General Electric's (GE) gations made by Mr. Sam Milam III and February 3, 1987 on alle review of documents related to those i

allegations for proprietary information pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790.

GE has completed its review of documents and notified the NRC that the NRC Inspection Report No. 99900403/86-01 did not contain proprietary information.

GE also noti'ied the NRC that while the Stokes report and Mr. Milam's work record contained proprietary information GE relinquished any claims of exemption from disclosure which it could otharwise make for these documents.

Accordinaly*, the documents forwarded to the Subenmmittee as enclosures to my December PA, 1986 letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room to be available to the oublic.
