Discussion Concerning Certification 3/08/95 Date.
Package and Quality Control Personnel Control No.
85-03-08-03 our recent discussion pertaining to the deficiencies of certification packages, and L.K.C. QC personnel being observed unproductive and loitering. An evaluation of the activities of the supervisory personnel was conducted. The results of the evaluation disclosed that the present supervisors were overloaded, plus performance was not up to par.
Therefore, necessary i= mediate corrective action had to be taken and i=plemented immediately to obtain the efficiency required to keep up with the heavy pace of today.
The following action has been taken:
A.
Development of additional Supervisor positions.
B.
Change the second Assistant Manager position to General Supervisor with 4 Supervisors in his control.
C.
Present Assistant Manager demoted to Supervisor with A. Simile moved to General Supervisor.
D.
The 4 Supervisors under the General Supervisor are:
1.
Pebert Tuite with the responsibility of coordinating the priority system work in the QC Department and in the areas of Raceway, Cable Pull, Pavision Paworks, and Terminations.
2.
Rick Saklak with the responsibility of the areas of Receipt, CEA's, Calibrations, and Equipment.
3.
Cyri Landers with the respcnsibility of the 7
Welding and Configuration group.
4.
Kenneth Worthington with the responsibility of h

Due to the immediate need for the required change, and through verbal communication with F. Rolan and yourself, a for:nal letter of approval was not issued to CICC PCD or QA requesting for:nal approval. This is an error on my part.
Therefore, I am requesting that R. Tuite, D. Landers, and g
A. Simile's positions be approved.
A. Simile was moved to the position of General Supervisor due to his excellent perfor: nance in the area of Welding and the ccmpletion of his other responsibilities.
Robert Tuite was selected from the group cf Lead QC ' Inspectors due to his attitude, knowledge and ability to consnunicate with his peers,
and aggressiveness. Dyr1 Landers was selected from the group of Lead Inspectors for his knowledge of Welding, aggressiveness, l
attitude and ability to communicate with his peers.
Mr. Worthington was placed in the area of which he originally had as Assistant Manager with fewer responsibilities.
Once again, I apologize for the late request letter for formal approval, which should have been followed up af ter various conysrsa-tions with yourself and F. Rolan on how I intended to get the L.K.C. QC Department to be a more efficient group.
