Wang (DE) V;C7 *.Date: '12-18-84 The population of cables (power, control and instrumentation) includes all safety related Unit #1 and Unit #2 cables included in the sargent and Lundy design. The sample items will be selected based on the following criteria. Cable has been pulled and terminated at both ends. Cable has been QC accepted by L. K. Coastock Co. on'or before June 30, 1984. Cable separation in air and inside equipment is an attribute on the checklist. The following items are included in other populations: Bushings and edge protectors are included in conduit and cable pan populations. {' Supports for cables in vertical tray risers are included in the Cat.I cable pan hanger population. Supports (installed inside junction boxes) for cables in vertical conduit risers are included in the electrical equipment installation population. i Field installed jumpers are included in the electrical equipment installation population. SUBJECT:
Cable Sample Accessibility Walkdown
REFERENCE:
BCAP-21, Section k.h.1, Rev. h It has been determined that the Cable Sample Accessibility Walkdown is not required. The sa=ple cables are.censidered accessible for the following reasons: 1. Permanent cable pan covers and fire stops are not installed. 2. As per verbal information from L. K. Comstock Co. approximately 95% of cable pans are readily accessible. In the event a cable pan is not accessible, 3, an alternate method of signal tracing can be used for 1 cable routing verification. 3. All sample cable items are pulled, terminated and QC accepted cables by L. K. Comstock Co. f W & ]/ & S. C. Wang CSR Discipline Engineer SCW:cid cc: D. J. Patel l G.
