Vendor Manufactured Hangers in Cat. I Areas November 1, 19 3

CONTROL NO: 83-11-01-02 The following guidelines address the processing and documenting of vendor manufactured hangers (Systems Control and Mechanical, Inc.).
LKC Q.C. welding inspectors will be issued unique metal stamps to 'be used for identifying vendor manufactured welds on System Control and Mech'anical Inc. hangers. This unique stamp will be used only on vendor hanger welds that are not marked by the vendor.,
Prior to installing vendor manufactured hangers that are not marked by the vendor, the craf t should contact the Q.C. office for an inspector to identify the given hangers with a stamp.
Any vendor hangers that are reworked by Comstock will require the welders symbol and QC inspection symbol.
The use of these guidelines will ultimately result in having a good majority of all welds on hangers in Cat. I areas either identified as System Control / Mechanical Inc. or Comstock fabricated / inspected hangers.
This will help to alleviate future audit concerns / findings on hanger welds that Comstock did not veld up.
