f MAY 2 01985 NOTE TO: CRGR Members ADVANCED NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING (ANPR) ON REVISIONS OF THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "HIGH. LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTES" At the CRGR briefing on the subject matter during Meeting No. 75 on May 14, 1985, the Comittee recommended that the actual ANPR be obtained from RES and provided to the Comittee. The Chairman, CRGR, would then poll the Comittee l members to determine whether the CRGR should recomend formal CRGR review of l the ANPR.

I Enclosed is a copy of the ANPR. Please let Walt Schwink know your views regarding the need for CRGR review by May 28, 1985.
