Division of Licensing Gentlemen:

Transmitted herewith is our request for a NRC termination survey of our AGN-201 held under license R-127, Docket No. 50-538.

Pursuant to provisions of the license the reactor has been placed in SAFSTOR status and awaits finsi removal by the Institute for Resource Management Inc. as soon as NRC licensing and EPA approval allow them to take possession of the reactor. The fuel will be shipped to a secure facility as designated by the U.S. Department of Energy. This shipment is being made under the University Assistance Program and facilitated with the assistance of E.G. &

G., Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Our surveys to date indicate that with the exception of room 147 of Building #113, which is our source storage facility, there are no areas with radiation readings above those specified for

" unrestricted use" in 10 CFR 20. The restrictions specified in the license will remain in effect, however, until such time as NRC performs its termination survey and releases these areas from any restrictions in use.

Please contact Mr. Robert Riley at 901-454-2256 if you have any further questions.
