Your inspectors are well aware of our directions to the field, and of the field practice of using leftover cable ends (presently stored in coils in the Turbine Building), for non-safety related cable pulls only.
Maybe some of the coils do not have witness at the time of the unreeling, but all the cables do h ve raceab to the source of their existence.

3-23-83 Control No. 83-03-23-05 Per conversacion with Rick Saklak, Myra Sproull and Ken Bushue it has been suggested that all cables which are coiled and stored on storage racks located in the Turbine building Unit II El. 418' D and 26/27 lines be used for non-safety related cable pulls only.
The reason being is that I.KCE Quality Control peponnel were not present to document the unreeling and coiling of"' emaining cable r
on a reel or non-safety related cables which have beenT)u,1J1_esLous of tray and._ conduits for various reasons. These types of short footage coils do not have documentation as to the source of their existance.
