It is my sad duty to inform.you, that Dr. Frank A. 'Valente passed away on 27th January, 1985.
I have appointed Dr. Reed A. Guy, Chairman of our Physics Department,-as -Acting Radiation-Safety Officer and Director of Seattle University's Nuclear Facility until such time as a permanent

Dr. Guy's degree is in nuclea3 ~p'hysics, and over the past several years

he worked closely with Dr. Valente on all matters relating to the nuclear facility, including teaching our Nulcear Instrumentation course.
