The intent of this letter is to provide direction by clarifying any previous correspondence concerning cable pan hanger inspections.
As a result of the issuance of CICo NCR's '708, 709 and the supplemental walkdown instruction (reference Ba/PCD 85-216), LKC should stop ali configuration inspections of vendor supplied Cable Pan Hangers except as described in the walkdown instruction. Since the walkdown does not include attachment weld inspections, LKC is to continue those inspections and submit the reports to PTL for evaluation.
In order to be consistent, CECO QA is requested to direct FTL to.stop configuration and weld inspections of all cable pan hangers. As with L. K.
Comstock, this does not include cable pan hanger attachment welds.
