Dear Mr. MacDonald:
This letter covers our submission of a Quality Assurance (QA) Program as required by 10 CFR Part 71 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Inasmuch as we must have the Commission's approval of this QA Program before we can ship our surplus.unirradiated fuel, and because the deadline for that shipment under the Commission's show-cause order dated Sept. 27, 1985 is Feb. 18, 1986 (Memorandum of Understanding, B.I. Spinrad, Iowa State University, to Don Carlson, USNRC, Docket No. 50-116, Jan. 13, 1986), we would appreciate expeditious review and prompt notification of the outcome of that review.
