Memorandum Tc:

File office: Braidwood From:

L. G. Seese

Subject:

Meeting Notes Date:

h/13/85 Personal / Confidential This memorandum is issued to document a meeting held in the QC Manager's office on Friday, April 12, 1985 at 8:15 a.m.

Those in attendance vere I. F. DeWald, R. L. Martin and L. G. Seese. The subject of the meeting was a written warning issued to Mr. Martin for falsification of company records.

The following is the series of events during this twenty (201 minute teeting.

1.

I read the warning and explained the seriousness of this action when coupled with Rick's past record and his latest e=ployee evaluation.

I explained that continued performance of this type vould not be tolerated.

2.

Mr. Martin refused to sign the warning.

3.

I asked Rick if he had any coc=ents, he stated that he vanted to talk with me today to see what he could do to be a better employee.

h.

Both Irv DeWald and I stressed the fact that it was not our purpose to have him fired only to assist him in following company rules and being more attentive to his assigned duties.

5 Rick pointed out another e=ployee who, in his opinion, was less productive. Rick also stated that he was the only one in the entire QC Department that was not working overtime.

6.

I advised him that his concern over the other employee would be passed on to that supervisor.

I also stated that the reason Rick was not on overtime was because the WANG Status was in the process of being converted to the IBM and since this is his project and we are considerably ahead of engineering, no overtime would be required until the IBM printouts are available.

7.

Irv explained to Rick what action he vanted once the IBM printouts were available.

8.

I asked Rick if he had any additional coccents. He stated that he recently vent to the NRC concerning Rick Saklak. He stated that the NRC' misrepresented some of his co= cents. Rick stated that he co=plained to the NRC on 3/29/85 that one afternoon (approx. 3/01/85) he talked with the NRC and the next morning I moved him into the QC Vault.

i

)

9.

I reminded Rick that his conversations with the NRC are private and that I would have no way of knowing when he talked to them and in addition that his money or job assignment did not change, only his seating assignment. The reason for that change was increased control over the QC records that he used for his computer status.

10.

The meeting ended with Rick being cautioned not to be involved in additional violations of company policy.

Irv and I stressed that if he wanted to improve his work image we would be glad to work with him.
