04rt BJ27-66 I'am writting this in regard to the events that have been happening to me,af ter I had went to the NRC with allegations against the MC ccznpany,on 6-4-86. At the beginning of June I was asked along with two other inspectgrs if we vanted to be transferred to ist shift.Of the three of us,two had already put in a request to be transferred to ist shift, due to family matters. One of these being me.In mid July only two were transferred to ist shift,I was not!I was not offered any reason of why this decision had been made.
I feel this decision was made by LKC was due to the fact that they knew I had went to the NRC.* found out later, that my name had been brought up during the NRC invest-igation. This was confirmed on July 24th,when Harry Revels the 2nd shift supervisor, told me out of confidence that it was upper MC management decision not to transfer me to days.I was siso told, and my understanding of what was said,if there were to be any lay-offs in the future,I'd be a prime candidate to be the first on it.
After all the things that were happening and all the stories I'd be hearing from day shift,be it rumor or fact,I decided that it was time to try and solve these problems.
I talked to the MCIS management and L.U. 306 steward about holding a meeting with all parties involved in this situation and to try and solve these problems. The meeting was arranged and the people attending would be J.Gieseker and M.Dougerty of(CECO),R.Seltman and T. Simile of(MC),T.Cartelli of(GE/MCIS),G.Nemeth the 2nd shift steward,L.U.306,R.
Westburg of the (USNRC) and myself. On 8-19-86 the meeting was held.I had high hopes of solving the problems at hand. But unfortunately, nothing was solved or answered. One of the things asked in the meeting was,why was,I not transferred to ist shift?MC's answer was,"ve had a shift in manpower and needed scme people to move to ist shif t and these people were the ones transferred" This did not answer why I had not been selected when I was asked.
There were altogether 4 people that were transferred to first shift, one of them was transferred to 3rd shift. But of the other 3 people,I know of only one that had requested a shift transfer, besides myself we also had family, the other 2 did not. Also one of the other 2 people did'nt really want to go to ist shift.I was approached again by

Even now I would like to be transferred to ist shift but I feel if I was,I may be intimidated.
I have tried to resolve these problems but nothing so far as been resolved or answered.
No justification has been given why the decisions were made the way they were made.I feel and many thing point to the fact that these decisions were made do to the fact that I went to the NRC with allegations. I would like this matter resolved.
