1. Please update the release of radioactivity in air effluents for  ;

1982-1986 (ref. Table 7 of your January 1983 (Environmental Information).

2. Please update the release of radioactivity in liquid effluents to the septic field for 1982-1986 (ref. Table 9 of your January 1983 Environmental Information).

3. In reference to your letter dated October 29, 1985, on the septic field j soil analysis, the isotopic uranium analysis in soil does not reflect highly-enriched uranium. Please explain. In Figure 1, of the same reference, please descrit'e in detail the flow of the septic system, including the original field and the expanded field.

4. For the future discharge of radioactive liquid wastes into the city sewage system, please provide a detailed description on the effluent i monitoring program to collect representative samples and analysis to I demonstrate compliance with 10 CFR 20.303. In addition, please provide a description of the liquid effluent treatment system prior to the discharge to the city sewer for the demonstration of as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA). Please provide a sludge monitoring program at the city sewage plant to ensure that the discharge from UNC would not result in an adverse impact. I

5. In reference to Table 6 (Rev. 1, 8/15/83), please provide detailed i updated information on the various liquid waste streams (other than '

HF-HN0 stream for which we have information) that are reclaimed or reused.
