Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20510 Gentlemen, I have just learned that you allowed Georgia Power Company to load fuel into Plant Vogtle Unit I without their having completed the required safety tests.
Then, to add to this audacity, Robert Scherer, Chairman of the Board of Georgia Power, used your willful neglect to say "How quickly and easily we received our license to operate Plant Vogtle is proof positive" that his $161 million of excessive engineering costs were justified.
Your disregard for human lives and Georgia Power's quest for our money seem too closely linked to be taken lightly.
Why did you allow them to do this?
