May 11, 1987 Mr. James R. Starr Clerk, U. S. District Court District of New Hampshire 55 Pleasant Street P. O. Box 1498 Concord, NH 03301-1498
Dear Mr. Starr:
On May 1, 1987, the Appeal Board of this Commission set aside the hearing schedule of the Licensing Board in the matter of the Seabrook Nuclear Generating Station.
I must regretfully request that the three weeks' time you had allotted to us for the use of one of the courtrooms be cancelled since the future hearing schedule in this case is doubtful.
The three weeks you had allotted were the weeks of June 1-5, June 22-26 and July 20-24.
During last week the Licensing Board weighed whether we could take advantage of your generous offer by using the time for perhaps confer-ences on the many motions for summary disposition we had before us and in the end determined that we could not. This letter is our first public announcement that we must reluctantly abandon the use of the i
courtroom for the time allotted.
On behalf of the Licensing Board, and myself, I wish to express my deep gratitudo for your many kindnesses in making the arrangements with the Judges.
Your cooperation with us has been outstanding and I thank l
you very much for the time and effort you put into making the arrange-l ments for the use of the courtroom.
If we can be of service to you in the Washington area, please call on us.
Again, many thanks.
Sincerely,
^
