SUBJECT:

TRANSFER OF LEAD RESPONSIBILITY, MPA-63, 64, 65 AND 68 (EMERGENCY RESPONSE FACILITIES AND IMPROVED METEOROLOGICAL CAPABILITY) FOR ST. LUCIE UNITS 1 AND 2 The purpose of this memorandum is to transfer the lead responsibility for completing the above MPAs to Region II. Based on phone conferences with the above licensee, the emergency response facilities and the improved meteoro-logical capability for the subject facility are complete. The next required action is your scheduling and conduct of inspection for these items. In this regard, Mr. D. Mathews, EPB/I&E, is in the process of developing the required inspection program.

Following the inspection, Region II may need to seek NRR assistance to close out any outstanding items.
