PROPOSED VISIT TO WPPS SIl1ULATOR

In order to gather information on certain generic issues, members of the Human Factors Engineering Branch (HFEB) staff and their consultants (Pacific florthwest Labs) would like to visit the WPPS simulator and nain office to talk to members of the utility staff. We would like you to request a meet-ing with appropriate WPPS staff on February.4,1982 (alternate dates, February 2, February 3, or February 5). Seven people (3 i:RC staff, 4 con-tractor staff) will be involved, for no more than one day.
Issues to be discussed include:
1.
Annunciator design philosophy 2.
fiaintenance practices and procedures 3.
Systems and/or procedures used to monitor safety system status.
These discussions will not be directly related to any licensing action and should be represented as being completely voluntary, infomal, and confiden-tial. We would appreciate this opportunity to interact with any utility personnel who are knowledgeable in the technical issues mentioned above, especially control room design engineers and simulator trainers.
