WilP-2 DRAFT SER j
Reactor Systems Branch input to the draft SER for itNP-2 will be provided to DOL by November 15, 1981. This schedule is based on the Savannah River ~ Labora-tory personnel's October 5th receipt of 22 additional responses, the applicant's statement that the 21 LRG inputs are "in the nail", and the applicant's commit-ment to provide additional input on previously discussed responses by October 21.
As noted in the memo dated July 2, 1981 from Paul Check, these inputs were re-quired by August 1,1981 in order to allow sufficient time for laboratory review i
and SER preparation. Because of this delay in receiving the applicant's input, l
a draft SER at the present time would include as many as 59 open issues, covering all sections for which RSB is responsible. Since we anticipate closure of the vast majority of these areas within the next 3 weeks (based on a meeting with l
the applicant on 10/7), it is our judgrant that an essential rewrite of the SER can be precluded by rescheduling our input until the above date. The final SER schedule of February 12, 1981 will not be impacted.
